About the 'Tools' page
The 'Tools' page in MySQLinks is used for displaying special tools, utilities and links.
When you installed MySQLinks, you may have noticed a sub-directory called 'tools' in the MySQLinks directory. In here is where you store the definitions for the items that you want to display on your tools page.
MySQLinks comes with several items already placed in your tools folder by default. If you want to add new items, all you need to do is save the relevant HTML code into a file with a .def extension and upload it into the tools directory. Each time you load the tools page, it checks for any .def files in the tools directory and then displays the HTML contained within on the page. If you have any images or other files related to the item, you can put these into the tools directory as well. MySQLinks will ignore all but the files ending in .def.
If you have created a new Tools page item for yourself, and you think that other people would also find it useful, then you can send it to us and we'll list it on the MySQLinks webpage so that other users can download it. (You will, of course, retain full credit.)
Note about the styling on the Tools page
Any forms displayed on the tools page will automatically have a blue border around them. If your tool is not a form, you can enclose it in a <p class="tool"> ... </p> tag to apply the same border style so that all of the items display uniformly.
