I hate writing though... maybe this will suffice.

ok, please excuse any spelling errors... I am at about 2 hours of sleep for the last 40... damn computer science project... thanks to someone who posted the psuedocode on the class discussion page... saved me there. One more midterm then we return to normality... I cant wait until tomorrow, going to see starwars again .oh, I added a picture finally, its from the Xfiles taping below. Click here. Okay. I am done with this bastard website. Off to computer science. I just got sim city 3k ... Ben seems to be enjoying it, but he cant play anygame without cheats!

Adam doesnt want a webcam next year either. Damn.
Oh, I won another Palm III Pilot. Now I have two. What the heck does one do with TWO Palm IIIs?

Its way late. I have a Computer Science Project due in three days, and I have a stock investing seminar to attend all day Saturday and Sunday, and what am I doing? Working on the webpage. Jeesh. 

Had a math midterm today... I did sucky on the first one, and this second one doesnt look to be much better. If the first one sucks and the second one sucks, then I have to ace the final and pray. 

Physics Labs and Physics MT due next week... Falling behind as always.  Same deal with the Physics MT... I havent gotten the first set of results and I worry about how that exam will go on tuesday... Those physics labs were due a week before. Does anyone out there have a solution to keep me from thinking that I can bend the rules and get away with highway robbery and late work..!

Oh, Hey! I was in the Daily Bruin for some comments I had made about starwars... Read it! 

You know, this writing to myself on the website thing is not that tough... maybe I'll put more. I just surfed JenniCam, and I love how she managed to put her life online, and that she had the guts to do so. I almost put up the webcam again, but I dont want to have to incur the wrath of Nadir again. 

Finally got the proposal for the television station done here @ Ucla... We should have equipment by next week... all we need is money now!

Just watched the "Go" VCD... its good stuff. Now, its webpaging [and coding in C++ in a few] and Simon and Garfunkel ... great music folks.  

Rant and Rave for 5-19-99

When I woke up on the 19th, I woke to a crashed computer. I was a fool and installed a partition of linux [non computer people, skip this and the next paragraph and substitute with "very painful computer problems"]. I was also using a HD overlay and one thing led to another,
and either a freak of nature, or a mistake on my part led to one of my HDs going nuts, including a difficulity with the overlay.

Leave it to say that I spent more than 18 hours rebuilding the hard drive and moving stuff to other locations just to move it back etc. 

So I was frustrated. Fortunately, Adam, my too be roomie here @ UCLA, had tickets to see the Phantom Menace [yep, you guessed it! This is a Star Wars thing!] I was to go with him and his friends early, but I ran out of time on the computer and arrived [only] an hour early in line to get in the seats. His group had been waiting since 4pm the night before! [our tickets were for the 12:15 showing!!!!]. 

After a short wait we were escorted in the theater. I was surprised at the presence of sanity, no people dressed up in costumes or anything... [we were also away from
campus or the hotspots of LA... we were in Woodland Hills... in the valley]... I later found out that they were all in theaters 7 and 8, where the 12:01 screenings were... a model of Yoda was passed around the theater ... 

I was surprised @ the lack of security... a camcorder could have been snuck in easily. The lights finally dimmed. People applauded. The Austin Powers trailer ran. People applauded. Finally, the Star Wars theme played and we read... "A long time ago... in a galaxy far far away..." 
and the noise was deafening from the applause.  I will skip the next 2:30 hours of my day so I do not reveal the plot.
Suffice it to say, it was a very good movie. I will probably see it again. It may have been overhyped, but hey, whats wrong with that... 

Its been 24 hours since I have seen it, so some of the euphora has worn away though, so imagine that last speech was twice as energetic... 

Also, the company that I will probably be interning @ this summer, Play Inc., had a significant software influence on the movie... check WIRED news for more :

Play is super cool and I am looking forward to being there for the summer...

On the chance that I am not, I will Stuck be in Victorville... Any TV studios out there that need interns for the summer ;)???

Ok. It's 11:00 and I am chatting online with a good friend of mine, Megan, when she says "get ready to go..." and then tells me [after a while.. someone was using the phone.. and it's a story.] that they are taping an XFILES episode on campus. We went nuts.
Raced to the car and vamoosed to the location that it was reported to be at... after a chase and long story [this by request only], we arrived. Ok we waited and watched and watched. In the end we say of bit of David Duchovny, but the cool part when Nicholas Leigh [sp?] came out and signed our pads of paper and took pictures... It legitimized our use of all the time... It was soo much fun.. met some really nice folks from Fox [Hi John!] and learned a lot. Came back at 5. which really threw my schedule off for the next day.. jeesh

Like I said that is the SUPER short version.. sorry, had to share this one... Want details? Wait until I sleep...
