The MySQLinks bookmarklet is an additional tool that you can add to your browser's Links or Bookmarks toolbar so that you can easily add new sites to your MySQLinks system without having to leave the site and return to the main MySQLinks interface each time.
You can create your own MySQLinks bookmarklet in the <a href="<?php echo $mysqvars['url']; ?>admin.php">Admin area, on the <a href="<?php echo $mysqvars['url']; ?>admin.php?func=6">Create a MySQLinks bookmarklet page.

When you are browsing the web and come to a site that you would like to add to MySQLinks, just click on the bookmarklet at the top of your browser. A nwe, smaller window will open which is like a shortcut into MySQLinks. You will see a form with fields for the URL, Title, Extra Info, Category and Status of the link that you're adding.
To make things even easier for you, the URL and Title of the site will already be filled in - the URL will be equal to whatever is showing in your Address or Location bar at the moment, and the Title will be taken from the page's <title> element. In addition to this, you can choose to have the Extra Info field automatically filled in as well by selecting some text on the web page before you click your bookmarklet, for example, you might want to highlight some text that is a short description of the site, or maybe the site owner's name.
You can make any changes that you want to make, select a Category and set the Status for the link and then click the button to add it. The window will automatically close itself once the link has been added to your MySQLinks, and the next time you return to the main interface of MySQLinks, the new link will be listed along with all of your other links.
