20
Rizwan Kassim - this american life in mp3 format/podcast

21

22 rizwank 1.3
As promised, I've put together a "This American Life"
23 MP3 archive, as well as a podcast of the most recent episodes.
24
25 The episode downloads are restricted to three per day --- I don't mind folks
26 with wget fetching them all, but it was just too much of a bandwidth drain.
27
28 I hope not to have to limit the podcast downloads --- at the moment they're
29 not, and 250g of traffic isn't _easily_ eaten up.
30
31 A few points:

Yes, the RSS feed works fine in iTunes. PLEASE don't submit it to Apple as a list that you'd like to see on their service. I can't afford the traffic or attention.

32
The podcast will be updated regularly with new episodes, but if I haven't fetched it yet, its cause I haven't gotten around to it yet. If I'm a week behind (as in the Real file was made available a week before, then feel free to email me.

33
I'm not accepting donations. At all. WBEZ Chicago deserves the cash - they make content, I simply re-encode it.

34
If you're not a starving student, or someone who makes less than ... say ... $30,000 a year, get off this site. Subscribe to the Audible downloadable version. Its not [too] expensive, its updated often, and is legal. You can afford it.

|
36 rizwank 1.3
More amazing to me is that apparently, TALs are made available through the iTunes Music Store! $3.95 isn't fair, IMHO, but thats not for me to decide. You can buy it from there too.

37
This site is still up by the good graces (or lack of awareness) of the folks that make the show. They ask, it goes down.

38
How to rip/encode these shows on your own? I'll have a guide up later, but for those looking to learn something : Google it
